Yeast surface display, a powerful protein engineering technique, has revolutionized the field of biotechnology and antibody discovery. Our company has successfully developed an advanced yeast surface display platform, which represents a reliable and highly efficient solution for antibody discovery and screening. Harnessing the platform, we can rapidly screen and select high-quality antibody candidates from diverse libraries, enabling the discovery of novel and potent therapeutic agents.
Principles of Yeast Surface Display
Yeast surface display relies on the fusion of a protein of interest to a yeast cell wall protein, typically Aga2p, which facilitates the presentation of the protein on the yeast cell surface. By exploiting the natural cell-cell contacts mediated by Aga2p during yeast cell mating, the displayed protein is projected from the cell surface, minimizing potential interactions with other molecules on the yeast cell wall. This feature ensures the accessibility and functionality of the displayed protein for subsequent applications.

Our Services
Acknowledging the immense potential of the yeast display platform, our company invested in establishing a cutting-edge yeast surface display platform. The platform screens the entire natural immune repertoire at an unprecedented scale and with keen sensitivity, revealing clones that would otherwise not be discovered. By expanding the boundaries of research possibilities, our company enhances the success rate of antibody discovery, particularly for challenging targets.
Our Yeast Surface Display Platform
Our platform offers an unparalleled combination of scale and sensitivity for screening the natural immune repertoire. The platform has the capability to capture and analyze up to 108 single B cells, generating naturally paired VH-VL antibody products. These VH-VL amplicons are then introduced into yeast cells, which can switch between display and secretion modes. The dual mode allows for the rapid identification, isolation, and characterization of a large panel of diverse, high-functional antibodies.
Advantages of Yeast Surface Display Platform
Rigorous Screening Enriches Rare Clones in Immune Repertoire
Our platform performs a rigorous screening of the complete natural immune repertoire, enabling the identification of rare clones that are often elusive to other platforms. With our advanced technology, we can efficiently uncover and isolate these unique clones, providing valuable insights and opportunities for further research and development.
Increase the Probability of Discovering the Best Antibodies
By delving deep into the natural immune repertoire, our platform significantly enhances the probability of discovering the best antibodies. Through extensive screening and analysis, we can uncover a diverse range of antibody candidates with exceptional binding properties and functional characteristics.
Natural Pairing Outperforms Random Pairing in Expression
Upon analyzing monoclonal yeast supernatants, we observed that naturally paired antibodies exhibited significantly superior expression profiles when compared to randomly paired antibodies. The naturally paired antibodies demonstrated enhanced expression levels, stability, and overall functionality.
Unique Rapid Characterization Process
The secretion model of our platform enables rapid hit characterization, including high-throughput affinity ranking. It also includes antigen binding confirmation, specificity, cross-reactivity determination, and functional validation.
